A Crazy Day

Today has been a crazy day. Farrah Fawcett died this morning after a long battle with cancer as I'm sure everyone knows. Then this afternoon Michael Jackson died quite unexpectedly. Now, I might not like him as a person, but I LOVE his music. The song "Thriller" was one of the first songs I put on my ipod. I am totally shocked that he has died. I was so looking forward to seeing him perform again. It would have been a true treasure to have seen him perform (if I could have afforded it). Very very shocking.

Brian and I went to Disneyland today and had a crazy time. The first ride we went on was Pirates of the Caribbean, and it broke just as we were about to get on it. We had to wait 20 minutes before they fixed it. Then we had dinner at the Blue Bayou (YUMMY!). The next ride we went on was Thunder Mountain, and right when we got to the top it just stopped! At first I thought it was about to start going backwards, but there was a big sound and it just stopped. We were up there for about 15 minutes, and then the workers had to come get us and release the bars and help us out. LOL. I took some pictures of it and then they yelled at me haha. Here's some:

Here's the angle we were at when it got stuck. The guys behind us were cracking jokes the whole time. It was hilarious.

Here's the view from where we were stuck.

Here's the last picture I took before they yelled at me. This is us walking down the side steps and then walking across the tracks.

Well, I've been watching CNN the last hour since we got back from Disneyland on Michael Jackson. Still can't believe it.

Grad Party

Yikes! Where has the time gone? I guess I haven't been much in the mood to write lately (you can thank The Sims 3 for that), but I also had a busy weekend, with my Grad Party this Saturday. I haven't done too much besides that since I last wrote. I'm still working, and will work until July 2nd. So my late afternoons and early evenings are filled. Usually I stay up way too late (like right now), because I like when it's quite and I just seem to think better. I always remember things I have to do right before I go to bed, haha.

Friday Brian and I went to dinner and to see The Hangover with his group of friends. Dinner was at a place called Javier's at the Irvine Spectrum. We could not find parking to save our lives! The whole parking structure was full! We drove around for 15 minutes before snagging a spot finally. Anyway, as for the movie, it was hilarious, probably better than Old School actually. The last 10 minutes of the movie are worth the $10.50 of admission alone. I won't say anymore, just go see it!

Then on Saturday I had my Grad party. It was sooo much fun. Even though I am a shy person I do like having my friends and family around me. There were some family members there that I hadn't seen in a long time, so it was nice. My mom ordered way too much alcohol so now it's all back at our house and they're trying to turn me into a drunkard by making me drink it all. Haha, just kidding. I don't have any pictures on my computer yet, but I'm sure Aunt Suzanne will be sending some my way (or my mom's way). I've already written all my thank you notes and plan on sending them out tomorrow (I'm still missing some addresses though).

So, work tomorrow, then around midnight I am going to meet Courtney at a bar (with a bunch of people I don't know), to celebrate her birthday. Brian is in SB so he could not attend. I will probably just buy her a drink and then leave. Yep, that's about it in my life. Just work, and thinking about Germany. Less than a month now! :D
