Turkey and Pandas

It's late November...and you know what that means! Time to eat some delicious Turkey! As is per usual, my family goes camping up to Lake Lopez with my God parents. This year I'm bringing the fiance along in hopes of my father and God father toughening him up! You know, do some early morning fishing (and gutting), grilling, hiking, boat riding, ride motorcycles, etc. Should be fun! Mom and little brother have to stay home, so it's just me and Daddy this year. :( We leave tomorrow around lunch time and should get there around 4! I guess I should probably think about packing...nah.

Now, I'd like to introduce y'all to my favorite pastime - watching San Diego Zoo's baby panda Yun Zi on their panda cam.

No, that is not a dirty cotton ball (but I can see how you might have thought that), but the extra snuggly Yun Zi himself. I can't wait for him to have his public debut so I can hightail it down to San Diego and take pictures to my heart's content. What can I say, baby pandas really do it for me.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Missing Europe

I can't wait to go back...Ich liebe Deutschland. Ich liebe Mama und Papa.

Happy Birthday!

Wednesday, November 4th was my 22nd birthday. Brian and I went to Disneyland in the morning, then I went to work, and then Brian and I went to Benihana's for dinner. Yay fried rice! Well, now that that's over I'd like to say Happy Birthday to someone else!

Sindy (Yes, I spell it with an S)

I got Sindy in Kindergarten when we she was about 6-8 months old and I was 5. She was my first pet and she has definitely been my longest living one too! She was also born in the month of November, so I keep track of how old she is by using my birthday as her birthday as well. So...

Happy 17th Birthday Sindy!

Even though you're a little bit older and grumpier, have no front teeth, have clumpy hair, won't sleep in my bed anymore, and refuse to use a litter box...I love you. We have snuggled together and cried together. You were always there to keep me warm at night when I needed you.

I remember how you used to bite my feet at night when I tried to go to sleep. I remember how you used to run around the house at night and act crazy. Sometimes you liked to sleep right on top of my head or next to my face. You're too old for that now. One time I was holding you like a baby and you scratched the whole side of my face! OUCH. I forgive you. I remember you brought us a dead bird on Christmas Day. You were so pleased with yourself. But most of all I remember you sleeping soundly at the end of my bed...which is hard to forget since you left an indent in the mattress. :D

And you still sleep with your eyes covered by your paws. How cute!

Happy Birthday Sindy, I love you.
